Human Friendship

It is indeed a difficult thing for sworn enemies to become friends, but a surprisingly easy thing for best friends or even brothers to become worst enemies!

  1. So true!!! I had a best friend and I have grown to dislike her everyday of my life within the last 4 years. I feel so betrayed by her and everytime I want to talk about it, she blows me off. Because her life is so awesome now, she doesn’t have time for me. I know I should not be letting this get to me, but it does. She is now my sister-in-law and that makes it even harder. I can’t stand listening to her tell our in-laws how great she and her family are, when all I use to hear is the bad stuff. I am so struggling with just forgiving her and moving on.

  2. Thanks for your comments,

I think you have two options. The first is to let the situation get worse and allow the hatred to consume you more and more. This will only lead to greater unhappiness and even greater family troubles later.

The other is the difficult path of forgiveness, which may at first not make sense, but is the only secure path to happiness and the possibility of once again becoming realy good friends. Forgiveness is a sign of greatness. We do it not because the other person deserves it, but because we too need it in our lives, when we too dont deserve it.

I wish you all the best, and remember life is too short to waste.
